The company has decided to infuse 56 1.7-100 wind turbines in the project. <a href=\"http:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/news\/nareva-selects-ge-turbines-100mw-120800326.html\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>The wind farm<\/strong><\/a> has been developed by (EEM) Energie Eolienne du Maroc, a fully owned subsidiary of Nareva Holding.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>GE Wind Turbines to Support Africa\u2019s Renewable Energy Goals<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The wind turbines supplied by the company will assist North Africa in living up to their goals of renewable energy. Also, the objective is to offer better economic returns for EEM by proving effectiveness of wind as a form of energy generation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The contract was signed between the CEO &amp; President of GE\u2019s Turkey, Middle East and North Africa region, <em>Nabil Habayeb<\/em> as well as Nareva Holding\u2019s Energy Pole Director, <em>Mohamed Sebti<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">General Electric Company (NYSE:GE) agreement will complement the efforts of Morocco Government to fully develop Integrated Wind Energy Project. With the completion of this project, Morocco will be able to generate wind power amounting 2000 MW by 2020. This will include the investment worth 31.5 billion Moroccan Dirhams.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>GE\u2019s Technology and Morocco\u2019s Commitment <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The General Electric Company (NYSE:GE) Chairman and CEO, <em>Jeff Immelt<\/em>, in this regard said that the agreement indicates commitment of their company towards wind energy development project of the country. He added that the technology offered by GE will perfectly suit the wind power aim of Morocco while also supporting its industrialization.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Ahmed Nakkouch<\/em>, the CEO of Nareva Holding, said that the wind energy strategy in Morocco has been created in a way that it will lead to an increase of wind portion in the overall energy mix by more than 14% by 2020.
