(NASDAQ:OCLR),<\/strong> a leading innovator and provider of optical communications solutions, said that it is seeking to expand its 100G manufacturing potential.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Increasing Investment<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to an <a href=\"http:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/news\/oclaro-expand-manufacturing-capacity-100g-070000439.html\" target=\"_blank\">article<\/a> published by PR Newswire, the company is increasing its investment in 100G developing capacity so as to cater to the increasing requirement of 100G client-side pluggable optics. The surge in investment levels follows the successful launch of 100G client side interfaces by the company. Oclaro, Inc. (NASDAQ:OCLR) had introduced the interfaces in the CPF and CPF1 form factors. Customers deploy 100G interfaces in primary applications that include switching, routing and other applications that typically need higher bandwidth.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It is expected that the increased investment will help the company to provide support to the present 100G form factors along with the future versions. The company seeks to ship higher density form factors starting 2015, it said. The company\u2019s upgraded CPF2 features significantly high performances at the rates of OTU4. This has been made possible by Oclaro\u2019s in-house expertise in EML technology, which offers dual-rate performance. Since the feature is important and highly demanded by the company\u2019s customers, the second generation CPF2 versions include this feature.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Meeting High Demands<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In addition to the above announcement, Oclaro, Inc. (NASDAQ:OCLR) also reported that it will initiate the volume production of its second generation CPF2 transceiver this year. The company had been sampling the transceiver to only some important customers until now. The volume production, the company informed, can begin as early as in the fourth quarter of the year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Oclaro, Inc. (NASDAQ:OCLR)\u2019s Chief Commercial Officer, Adam Carter, said that investments in the manufacturing potential, as well in the development of new products are significant for the company. He said that these investments help the company position itself in a leading place in regards to upgrades from CPF to CPF2.
