The company recently has made its way to ensure that the police officers are more secure. Ford squeezed in a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/money\/cars\/2014\/09\/21\/ford-police-surveillance-mode\/16000127\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>few high-tech features<\/strong><\/a> in the cars, which will enable officers to get protection. Ford Taurus is being used by the police officers in the U.S. as interceptors.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u00a0Surveillance Mode in the police officers\u2019 Ford Taurus<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) Taurus meant for the police officers, and also known as Police Interceptor, will be infused with the surveillance mode. The car will be sporting a rear-view camera as well as proximity radar. Both these features will allow getting the officers geared up, in case a criminal approaches them from behind their vehicle.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) has enabled special features for warning in the Police Interceptor; Ford Taurus. The chime gives warning to the officers and also rolls up the windows at the driver\u2019s side. Additionally, it also locks doors of the car and flashes the exterior lights.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">These features will enable the officers to remain alert during a crisis and plan their further action.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Security of Police Officers Enabled<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The company said that the surveillance mode was introduced in all police vehicles for 2014. The company also added that this mode is available for military applications as well as for other automakers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Engineering Supervisor of Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) Special Vehicle Unit, <em>Randy Freiburger<\/em>, in this context, said that the company wants to assist the forces in ensuring and improving the police officers\u2019 security and safety. This, he explained, applied to not just the Ford Police Interceptor, but also to the competitive vehicle that they use.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It is possible for the criminals to attack the officers from the rear.
