The issue shot up on Tuesday after CBS announced its decision to drop the track from its marquee prime-time show.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Rihanna\u2019s Tweets Worsened Situation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As the New York Times\u2019 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2014\/09\/17\/business\/media\/cbs-replacing-rihanna-song-on-football-broadcast-after-singer-lashes-out.html?partner=yahoofinance\" target=\"_blank\">article<\/a> reports, the 26 year old singer sought to \u2018tweet\u2019 to express discontent against the television network when her song was not played last week. The TV program had dropped her song, as well as other scheduled content, for NFL\u2019s increasing domestic violence issue.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Last week, as the Baltimore Ravens singer Ray Rice was suspended, CBS Corporation (NYSE:CBS) changed its plan to continue with the celebratory opening of the show. It instead favored pregame coverage of the news with additional comments on the topic domestic violence.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>In-House Music<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On Tuesday, the company said that it plans to open the N.F.L. games with its initial theme music. Instead of supporting music from a version of the song \u201cRun This Town,\u201d that featured Kayne West and Rihanna, CBS Corporation (NYSE:CBS) created a new in-house music. It expects to play \u2018Thursday Night Football\u2019 music for the entire remaining season, along with the planned appearance of actor Don Cheadle.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Neither of the involved parties acknowledged that Rihanna\u2019s past issues with domestic violence was a decisive factor in the move. She was a victim to physical violence by then boyfriend and singer Chris Brown. The incident came to highlight on the eve of the Grammy Awards 2009 post which here bruised face was featured as an insignia for violence against female.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The entire matter brought huge criticism against the U.S. most popular sports league. Roger Goodell is receiving huge disparagement from public because of the way the rice case was handled.
