While the recalls in the U.S. centered on the ignition switch issue, the latest recall issue in China is attributed to faulty brake control software.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Recall Of Vehicles<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The company\u2019s joint venture firm with SAIC Motor Corp, Shanghai General Motors Co, has started to recall some of Cadillac XTS model cars manufactured during the period October 2012 to July 2014, <a href=\"http:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/news\/gms-china-jv-recalls-38-040904523.html\">Reuters reported<\/a> quoting China\u2019s quality regulator. The company has recalled vehicles to eliminate possible risks due to a software problem.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Inspection and Quarantine wing of General Administration of Quality Supervision in China warned that the brake issue could have the potential to cause the car of failing to accelerate properly in extreme cases. General Motors is yet to react to the developments in its Chinese joint venture company.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In China, car manufacturers have recalled 5.3 million vehicles, which was a record, last year pushing the regulators in China to step up its efforts to protect consumers. Interestingly, the latest recall from General Motors Joint Venture company comes on the heels of its rival, <strong>Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F)<\/strong> issuing a similar recall move for 191,770 vehicles of its Ford Focus brand in China on fuel leak risk issue.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>New Cadillac To Be Launched<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Even as the brake issue has forced the largest automaker of the U.S. to recall Cadillac vehicles in China, General Motors Company (NYSE:GM) seems to have drawn up its plans to unveil a new Cadillac using an advanced cruise control to drive on its own on highways, i.e. autonomous car, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foxbusiness.com\/industries\/2014\/09\/08\/self-driving-cadillac-brings-industry-closer-to-autonomous-car\/\">Fox Business<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The hands-free cruise control with automatic speed and braking control Cadillac is expected to be launched in 2016.
