The company announced on Monday that <a href=\"http:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/news\/citi-says-charrington-replace-mason-172259518.html\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Peter Charrington<\/strong><\/a> shall be named as the head of aforementioned business.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Who is Peter Charrington?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Peter Charrington is a veteran who became a part of Citigroup family in the year 1994 when he joined Citi Private Bank.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the year 2009, he became the COO (chief operating officer) for Citigroup\u2019s North American business. He succeeded Mark Mason.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In July 2014,\u00a0Citigroup Inc (NYSE:C) reported that Jeff Bailey retired from Citigroup\u2019s Institutional Clients Group post of chief financial officer. Peter Charrington was promoted to this position.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The older position of Mr. Charrington shall remain vacant until and unless Citigroup names his successor.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Private Bank Ultra-Luxurious Venture of Citigroup<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ever since Smith Barney was sold to <strong>Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS)<\/strong> in the year 2009, the private bank business of Citi directed its entire attention towards ultra luxurious, viz. high net worth customers with the net worth of $25 million and more.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The private bank business of\u00a0Citigroup Inc (NYSE:C) houses 450 bankers across the length and breadth of the world now. Out of these, 170 employees belong to North America and they handle $310 billion in terms of client assets, in all.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Peter Charrington\u2019s Agenda<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mr. Charrington\u2019s agenda shall be to take forward Mason\u2019s initiatives. While primarily lecturing in descriptive and comparative statistics, Brendan simultaneously earned an Msc in Banking and International Finance from the University of Wales-Bangor.
