The information was revealed by Lieff Cabraser Heimann &amp; Bernstein, LLP itself recently. The firm said that it had decided to file a litigation against GNW on behalf of all those people who bought GNW&#8217;s securities between December 4, 2013 and July 29, 2014.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Lieff Cabraser&#8217;s appeal from shareholders:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The company recently announced that if anyone bought Genworth Financial Inc (NYSE:GNW) security during the class period, then he or she could move to the court latest by October 20, 2014. The company has asked the shareholders to move to court as a lead plaintiff and register their complaint. A lead plaintiff is someone who acts on behalf of a lot of class members and direct the litigation in an organized way. Lieff Cabraser has clarified that if somebody tries to act as a plaintiff, then its recovery in the case the result of the case will not be affected by its decision to seek the appointment as a plaintiff. It has announced that people can take help of Lieff Cabraser as their counsel in this case.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Why this litigation has been filed against GNW: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Genworth Financial Inc (NYSE:GNW) is a financial company, and Lieff Cabraser filed class litigation against the company and few of its senior management employees for violating Securities Exchange Act of 1934. The claims were put levied against the company after Lieff Cabraser found that GNW made false promises in terms of its long-term services and offerings. It also made false promises in terms of return that various insurance products offered by it could generate in the long run. The statements made by the company about its prospects, operations and business lacked uniqueness and truth.\u00a0 The management of GNW refused to comment on this
