GM recently announced that it is planning to launch <a href=\"http:\/\/online.wsj.com\/articles\/gm-expects-to-offer-hands-free-driving-by-2016-1410124540?ru=yahoo?mod=yahoo_itp\"><strong>hands-free automatic driving system<\/strong><\/a> for vehicles by 2016.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The Speciality <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The vehicles will be empowered with Wi-Fi-enabled communication systems based on vehicle-to-vehicle mechanism. This system is designed so as to avoid collisions. General Motors Company (NYSE:GM)\u2019s announcement is yet another hint of completely changed auto-industry in the near future, as other auto-makers also have, in the past given hints of designing cars that will be partially-driven.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The Super-Cruise System <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The entire system is called super-cruise and will enable a person to ride in his\/her car without even touching the steering, on the freeway having appropriate lane markings. The super-cruise system will be offered on a new Cadillac machine, which has not been named yet. The officials of Cadillac voiced out their opinions to launch a larger sedan by 2016 in order to compete with Mercedes S-Class and other similar rivals.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The super-cruise system is quite similar to auto-pilot mode. The officials explain that super cruise system will offer the advantage of hands-free driving, but the driver needs to remain attentive. Also, the driver should be geared up for taking the vehicle control once again. Also, the General Motors Company (NYSE:GM) officials highlighted the clear point of difference between automatic driving feature, as well as fully-automatic driverless feature.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Cost of the Super-Cruise<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The officials at General Motors Company (NYSE:GM) did not disclose the cost of super-cruise.
