It accused Huawei of stealing the company\u2019s novel technology like a part of a robot arm\u2019s from its laboratory. In the lawsuit, it said that Huawei\u2019s employees gained illegal access to the company\u2019s Bellevue lab and stole components of a smartphone testing robot, named Tappy. Additionally, the employees, who were suppliers to T-Mobile previously, also copied operating software and some design details from the lab. T-Mobile charged Huawei of violating the confidentiality deal that the two companies had signed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the complaint, T-Mobile US Inc (NYSE:TMUS)\u00a0provided a detailed explanation of the kind of theft that occurred in the lab in May, 2013. It said to have a camera recorded evidence of Huawei\u2019s employees stealing Tappy\u2019s arm and keeping it away in their laptop bag. The mobile manufacturer, that uses the robot to test smartphones more efficiently and quickly, claimed that the Chinese phone maker is now developing its own robot testing from the stolen idea.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Huawei Acknowledges Allegations<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">T-Mobile US Inc (NYSE:TMUS)\u00a0did not state a specific amount it sought as compensation for the said damages that were caused in 2012 and 2013. It however said that adopting a new supplier for handsets now would cost the company millions of dollars. In this context, a Huawei spokesman said that the company has already taken action in this regards and has expelled the two employees caught guilty in the matter.
