This meant that it was the sixth straight month of sales surpassing 60K figure threshold.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>F-Series Sales<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In August, the total sales of F-Series valued came in at 68,109 vehicles. However, it represented 4.2% drop from the previous year month sales of 71,115 vehicles, a <a href=\"http:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/news\/ford-fusion-escape-post-best-133000496.html\">statement issued by the company indicated<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Cars And Trucks<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">While sales of cars advanced 4.2% to 71,718 vehicles in August from 68,844 vehicles, Ford Trucks witnessed a 4.6% fall in monthly sales to 80,634 vehicles from 84,537 vehicles in the year-ago month. However, Ford Utilities managed to post a gain of 3.3% at 61,676 vehicles from 59,697 vehicles in the same month last year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">FordFord Motor Company (NYSE:F)\u2019s Fusion was the top seller among the Cars division with sales of 29,452 vehicles, up 19.5% from 24,653 vehicles whereas C-Max car sales advanced 15.5% to 3,501 vehicles from 3,032 vehicles in the last year\u2019s August month. Its Focus brand of car also witnessed 8.4% uptick to 22,079 vehicles from 20,372 vehicles.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Other brands of cars such as Fiesta, Taurus, and Police Interceptor Sedan have recorded downtick of 17.1%, 35.2% and 41.4% respectively over last year period. Mustang managed to post a slender gain of 20 basis points.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Similarly in the truck segment, Ford\u2019s E-Series vehicles dropped 22.3% to 6,702 vehicles in August from 8,631 vehicles whereas Transit Connect and Heavy Trucks recorded 0.1% and 7.5% drop respectively.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Utilities Division<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F)\u2019s Escape and Explorer fueled the segment\u2019s uptick in sales in August. While Escape vehicles sales advanced 8.5% to 28,996 vehicles, from 26,714 vehicles, Explorer sales grew 25.4% to 17,748 vehicles from 14,148 vehicles in August 2013.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On a brand-wise, Ford Vehicles sales rose 40 basis points to 214,028 vehicles from 213,078 while Lincoln vehicles dipped 60 basis points to 8,146 vehicles from 8,192 vehicles in the last year August.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ford\u2019s Vice President for U.S. Marketing, John Felice, said that both Escape and Fusion have set record sales in August and continued to move
