The company has already been described as the best-performing solar company in 2014. Even its financial performance in the past quarters point to the same \u2013 the best performer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The company announced that it completed installation of 2.6MW solar power system at the Coalinga State Hospital in California. It also said it completed 1.6MW solar power system for the Pleasant Valley State Prison. Sunedison said that the two solar power systems can meet the energy demand of about 800 homes. So far, the company has installed about 40MW of solar in 12 locations on behalf of the California Department of Corrections. The company also announced that its subsidiary, <strong>TerraForm Power Inc. (NASDAQ:TERP)<\/strong>, will own, manage and sell solar power from the systems under a 20-year agreement.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Solar opportunity<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The adoption of solar power solutions is expected to grow significantly in the U.S. in the coming years. The growth of solar power is promoted by the government incentives and the desire by consumers to take greater control of their power bills. That makes the future even brighter for established and innovative players like Sunedison Inc (NYSE:SUNE).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Several analysts on Wall Street have already taken notice of how the future is shaping for solar companies and Sunedison in particular. In the recent times, a number of analysts have weighed in on Sunedison Inc (NYSE:SUNE), mostly raising their ratings or reaffirming their positive recommendations on the stock. For example, analysts at RBC Capital recently raised their target price of Sunedison to $24 from $20 and reiterated an &#8220;outperform&#8221; rating on the stock. Even analysts at Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS) are bullish on Sunedison.
