The revenues for fiscal 2014 rose 16% to come at $1.56 billion compared to the prior year. The growth was witnessed in all the three business segments of Madison.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The adjusted operating cash flow dropped 12% to come at $312.8 million as compared to the prior year. A rise in unallocated corporate expenses and drop in AOCF in MSG sports segment led to a 12% decline in yearly AOCF. The Madison Square\u2019s operating income dropped 27% to $184.1 million. The net income declined 19% to $115.1 million. The figures are as compared to the prior year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The fourth quarter highlights<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Madison Square Garden Co (NASDAQ:MSG) reported the revenues of $371.7 million, up 10% in fourth quarter. The higher revenues in the MSG sports segment and MSG entertainment resulted in a rise in revenues for The Madison in the fourth quarter. Again, the fourth quarter showed a drop of 40% in AOCF due to drop in AOCF in MSG sports segment and rise in unallocated corporate expenses.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The impact was offset by better AOCF in The Madison Square Garden Co (NASDAQ:MSG) entertainment and MSG media segments. The operating income dropped 69% to $20.3 million comparable to prior year quarter. The net income declined 68% to $11.6 million comparable to prior year quarter.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The management view<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tad Smith, President and the CEO, said that The Madison has taken several measures in the current year to strengthen its position in the industry. It completed the Transformation project successfully. It also went for the reinvention of the Forum. MSG has successfully completed an agreement to sell Fuse in July. The Madison will continue to take similar steps in the future so that it creates a long-term value for Madison Square Garden Co (NASDAQ:MSG) shareholders.
