The latest acquisition follows the previous acquisition of <a href=\"http:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/news\/3d-systems-continues-acquisition-spree-150003879.html\" target=\"_blank\">Laser Reproductions<\/a>. Financial terms of the latest acquisitions have not yet been revealed. Since the start of the year, 3D Systems has carried out a number of acquisition including Medical Modelling Robtec and Simbionix.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>3D Systems Targeting Competition<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The latest acquisition essentially outlines 3D Systems Corporation (NYSE:DDD) focus to drive growth in the ever competitive printing industry that continues to face immense competition from the likes of <strong>Stratasys, Ltd. (NASDAQ:SSYS)<\/strong> and <strong>ExOne, Co (NASDAQ:XONE)<\/strong> as well as <strong>Voxeljet AG (ADR) (NYSE:VJET)<\/strong>. 3D Systems has a solid financial position that has allowed it to carry out the recent wave of acquisitions. The acquisition of Laser prototyping essentially marked the entry of 3D Systems into rapid prototyping as well as manufacturing and stereolithography.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The acquisition deals are expected to complement 3D Systems Corporation (NYSE:DDD) offerings in the ever growing aerospace industry. Going forward, the company expects to be in a position to create hundreds of new jobs over the coming future.
