Whether the challenges in the shares were related to the blackout or not, the question remains about how much money the company lost because of the outage and how much it could lose now that European users are demanding compensation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Calls for compensation<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Angry eBay Inc (NASDAQ:EBAY) users in Europe are not only taking to the social networks to express their frustrations of what have become very frequent outages, but they are also demanding that the U.S. auction service provider compensate them for the damages suffered. The sellers and buyers mostly suffered the damage of lost opportunity to attract good bids on their items or lost opportunity to purchase an item.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0The outage of eBay in Europe lasted several hours from early morning to around the middle of the afternoon. eBay Inc (NASDAQ:EBAY) acknowledged the problem, apologized and moved in to fix the issue after which users could once again log in or place ads.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">However, fixing the problem seemed to have done little if not nothing to impress eBay users in northern Europe who were the most affected. In fact, yesterday\u2019s loss of eBay service marked the 10th times this year alone. Such outages usually have their impact on revenue especially when several minutes or hours are lost as was the case in the latest one.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB)<\/b> also recently suffered an outage that lasted nearly 30 minutes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Images damage<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Besides the latest service blackout that is now putting it at the risk of compensating affected users, eBay Inc (NASDAQ:EBAY) has also suffered several challenges in the recent past, many of which have an adverse implication in its image and business-health.
