(NASDAQ:QCOM).<\/b> According to reports, the company has donated $325,000 to China&#8217;s Yunnan Earthquake Relief <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stockhouse.com\/news\/press-releases\/2014\/08\/11\/qualcomm-donates-funds-to-china-s-yunnan-earthquake-relief\" target=\"_blank\">Fund<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Details of the proceedings:<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The reports claim that QUALCOMM, Inc. (NASDAQ:QCOM) gave the total amount to CAF (Charities Aid Foundation) of America and suggested them to transfer the entire amount to the account of China Youth Development Foundation (CYDF).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The recent disaster in Yunnan Province of China left everyone with tears and sadness. Whoever heard about the incident, couldn&#8217;t believe on the face that it happened. According to President and SVP of QUALCOMM, Inc. (NASDAQ:QCOM) Greater China Office, Xiang Wang, \u201cWe extend our deepest support and sympathy to all those families who lost their people in this calamity. May their soul rest in peace?&#8221; The company is trying everything possible to bring the affected families into a normal course of life. The donation made by the company is a small contribution in the hope that the affected areas and people will recover very soon.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Charities Aid Foundation of America or CAF is an acclaimed global grant-making firm that assists individuals, foundations and organizations in making international donations. CAF help donors to support the domestic and international areas, individuals and other countries who seek help. The main objective of China Youth Development Foundation is to improve rural school-based nutrition programs, level of education, teacher training, school construction and student scholarships. CYDF also works in areas like rural health infrastructure, disaster relief and environmental awareness.
