(NYSE:PFE)<\/b> will shed out $35 million from its pocket. The amount shall be paid in order to settle allegations from 42 different states that the company\u2019s subsidiary, <a href=\"http:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/news\/pfizer-pay-35m-settle-drug-202031029.html\"><b>Wyeth Pharmaceuticals<\/b><\/a> marketed this drug for unlawful uses. Among 42 states which received money from the company, three of them also include New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It was alleged that the drug called Rapamune went through off-label marketing and was promoted in an improper and unlawful manner for lung, heart and liver transplants, along with use in non-permissible drug combinations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Statement From The Attorney General Of The States<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The attorney general of these 42 states, on August 6, 2014 said that Wyeth, which was taken over by Pfizer Inc. (NYSE:PFE) in the year 2009 in a transaction worth $68 billion, gave training to its sales representatives for encouraging doctors to prescribe to their patents, a drug called Rapamune for uses apart from prevention of rejecting transplanted kidneys.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Rapamune: The Talked About Drug<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Rapamune was cleared in approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in the year 1999, but only for uses in the patients of kidney transplant.
