Ford is also expected to roll out 17 new models in South Africa and Sub Saharan Africa. The models include right hand driving versions of Ford trademark cars Mustang, Ford Sedan and Ford Focus. Ford is analyzing options to set up a plant in Nigeria which is blessed with natural resources and has blooming economy, with strong middle class base. However, the road to explore African options for Ford looks not as easy as one thinks with current crisis of Ebola outbreak and Boko Haram rebels faced by the continent.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>The Replacement Deal<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F)\u00a0announced at its dealerships \u201cLife Time Brake <a href=\"http:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/news\/ford-offers-motorcraft-brake-pad-130100282.html\">Guarantee Program<\/a>\u201d for its certain fleet of vehicles owned as of 1 July, 2014. Only the vehicles owners of Ford, Lincoln or Mercury Passenger and some commercial vehicles will be entitled for this program. The program basically addresses replacement of Motorcraft brake pads for vehicles that wear down to less than three millimeters. The Ford customers will however have to pay for the labor and installation costs including any other auto parts needed to restore the braking system to original operating condition.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Sports Utility Vehicles (SUV) Drives the Sales<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The demand for Ford SUVs grew in July, 2014 making a 10 percent <a href=\"http:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/news\/fords-us-sales-10-percent-131753464.html\">hike<\/a> in July 2014 total sales. Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F)\u00a0reported about 212.3K sales in July making it the best ever July sales since eight years. Year over year sales of Ford Escape small SUV was up by 19 percent and Ford Explorer sales was up by 32 percent. The F-Series <a href=\"http:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/news\/ford-shows-9-6-increase-154726862.html\">pickup truck<\/a> grew by 5 percent to 63.2K. However, the Ford cars sales posted lackluster sales.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>F-Series Stays Favorite<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">July 2014 saw another milestone for Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F)\u00a0with its <a href=\"http:\/\/247wallst.com\/autos\/2014\/08\/02\/ford-f-series-leads-cars-sales-again\/\">F-series<\/a> light weight pickup trucks posting 5 percent rise in sales. F-series posted 63.2K trucks in sales with its closest rival General Motors Inc.\u2019s (NYSE:GM) Chevy Silverado selling about 42K trucks in July 2014. The F-series success is attributed to the diversity of fleet with the price range between $20Kand $50K.
