(NYSE:T)<\/b> on June 18, 2014 announced that the Raleigh City officials had ratified the agreement with the company in order to introduce ultra-fast Internet services for the businesses and the residents of the city. AT&amp;T Inc. will facilitate Raleigh with the U-verse\u00ae with GigaPower\u2120 through the fiber network. This will be able to offer speeds of up to 1 gigabit per second.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>North Carolina Next Generation Network (NCNGN) Initiative: Foundation of the Agreement<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The ratified agreement between Raleigh City and AT&amp;T Inc. (NYSE:T)\u00a0is based on the North Carolina Next Generation Network (NCNGN) initiative which includes six cities, four leading U.S. universities and the local business leaders; who have been working for encouragement of high-speed Internet in the state.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At present, U-verse\u00ae with GigaPower\u2120 is available in a few cities of North Carolina which include Asheville, Winston-Salem, Raleigh, Cary, Greensboro, Carrboro, Chapel Hill, Charlotte and the surrounding areas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The President, AT&amp;T-North Carolina, Venessa Harrison in this regard said that the company has received a very positive and great input from the North Carolina for deploying fastest available speeds. Harrison added that the ultra-fast fiber network will allow fostering the innovation, enhancing education as well as encouraging growth.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Highlights of the Agreement<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As a part of the agreement, AT&amp;T Inc. (NYSE:T)\u00a0will deploy potential fiber network in the parts of the city in order to deliver ultra-fast broadband.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The U-verse\u00ae with GigaPower\u2120 will help in delivering advanced television services as well as 10X faster Internet speeds to the Raleigh city.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Statement from the President and CEO for the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The President and CEO for the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, Harvey A.
