Boston, MA 06\/19\/2014 (wallstreetpr) \u2013\u00a0<\/b>Ericsson (ADR) (NASDAQ:ERIC)<\/b> has signed a six-year radio service contract extension with Netherlands Public Broadcasting, covering six public radio stations. NPO has also been given the option to extend the agreement if it finds it suitable. Ericsson starting 2015, will consequently coordinate and manage play, out for the six radio stations prioritizing quality, continuity and innovation per the terms of the agreement.<\/p>\n
Ericson Responsibility under the Agreement<\/b><\/p>\n
Ericsson is expected to resume responsibility for the operation and monitoring of the central play out facility and distribution in Hilversum. Some of the service that Ericsson will be required to provide include support and coordination for production personnel and maintenance of systems. Ericsson is thus expected to provide relevant expertise in project management, as well as supply chain management and system integration.<\/p>\n
Netherlands Public Radio estimates that Ericsson (ADR) (NASDAQ:ERIC)\u00a0will provide up to 50,000 hours of service hours year in year out. NPO expects Ericsson\u2019s technical experience to play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of great quality content to customers.<\/p>\n
Ericsson (ADR) (NASDAQ:ERIC)\u00a0is now set to provide all the services needed to make it possible for broadcast and distribution of recorded and live content on NPO\u2019s Radio 1, Radio2, 3FM Radio 4, Radio 5 and Radio 6 stations.
