The announcement is seen as a way to further drive the adoption of cloud-based unified communications solutions called Software as a Service (SaaS), in the public sector.<\/p>\n
8×8, Inc. (NASDAQ:EGHT) was accepted at the G-Cloud 5 framework of CCS, which was announced recently. G-Cloud 5 framework is an initiative taken by the UK Government to encourage the public sector towards adopting these cloud services.<\/p>\n

Kevin Scott-Cowell, CEO, 8×8 Solutions explained that G-Cloud 5 supports the policy of the UK Government to manage procurement of common products and services centrally.
