(NASDAQ:FSLR)<\/b> on June 16, 2014 announced that the company was chosen by Tenaska Solar Ventures, an independent energy company; for the designing and construction of 150 megawatt (MW)AC Tenaska Imperial Solar Energy Center West project in California. The project will come up near El Centro.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Highlights of the AC Tenaska Imperial Solar Energy Center West Project<\/b><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>The AC Tenaska Imperial Solar Energy Center West project will be spread over an area of around 1100 acres in Imperial County.<\/li>\n<li>Tenaska Imperial West will be the second solar project in the Imperial Valley of Southern California, which will be managed, owned and developed by Tenaska.<\/li>\n<li>As a part of the project, First Solar will offer complete Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) services to this project.<\/li>\n<li>First Solar, Inc. (NASDAQ:FSLR) will employ the advanced thin film photovoltaic modules in this project, apart from the single-axis tilt technology.<\/li>\n<li>The 130MWAC Tenaska Imperial Solar Energy Center South power plant was also completed by First Solar in November 2013.<\/li>\n<li>The project will be able to provide around 800 jobs in Imperial Valley during the peak time of the construction.<\/li>\n<li>The AC Tenaska Imperial Solar Energy Center West project will make a vital economic contribution to Imperial Valley\u2019s local community.<\/li>\n<li>The project, after completion, will be able to offer reliable source of renewable and clean energy to the Southern California\u2019s residents.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Statement from the Managing Director for U.S. Business Development, First Solar, Inc<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Managing Director for U.S. Business Development of First Solar, Inc.
