Boston, MA 06\/11\/2014 (wallstreetpr) \u2013 In a very bizarre event, a local drone-cam operator lost the DJI Phantom Vision, an expensive copter, on the top of AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T)<\/b> stadium. The man posted the video on YouTube, which was captured from the remote-controlled, four-rotor helicopter and on June 10, 2014 he said that he lost the radio link with that copter after it landed on AT&T\u2019s stadium roof. Though there was no damage to AT&T\u2019s stadium roof, but the matter became serious with the Federal Aviation Administration.<\/p>\n
The Rules of Federal Aviation Administration<\/b><\/p>\n
According to the rules of the Federal Aviation Administration, the operators of model aircrafts are not allowed to fly their models at an altitude more than 400 feet above the ground. Also, the rules of Federal Aviation Administration say that the model aircrafts should be kept at a considerable distance from all the populated areas. As far as this case is involved, the local drone-cam operator has supposedly not violated the rule #1, but he had violated the second rule mentioned above.<\/p>\n
The statement from Federal Aviation Administration, in this context, made it clear that the agency will look into the violations made by him as per the FAA regulations concerning model aircrafts.<\/p>\n
Statement from the FAA<\/b><\/p>\n
In a statement, the FAA said that flying the model aircrafts for recreational purposes or as a hobby does not require the prior permission of FAA. However, FAA said that the hobbyists need to operate as per the model aircraft guidance and guidelines of the agency. The rules are laid down in 2012 FAA Reauthorization. The model aircraft operators violating the rules or endangering the safety of airspace system attract enforcement action by the agency.
