Boston, MA 06\/10\/2014 (wallstreetpr) \u2013 In a recent World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC), Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)<\/b> announced a plethora of new and interesting offerings. Senior News Correspondent Adam Housley of Fox News reviewed these in a conversation with Casaba LLCCo-founder – JasonGlassberg. Housley\u2019s opening point related to the new operating systems announced by Apple, OSX Yosemite and iOS8. He said the key feature of the new operating systems was \u2018integration\u2019 and further added that the beta version was available to registered developers now, with public release to happen in the next few months.<\/p>\n
Glassberg explained that this feature is referred to as \u2018Continuity\u2019 by Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), and that it offers seamless application experience to the user, across handheld devices such as iPad or iPhone and Macintosh laptops, without losing continuity. If a user was drafting an email on the iPad and then shifts to a laptop, the user can continue writing the same email on the laptop.<\/p>\n
Homekit<\/b><\/p>\n
Responding to a question on the \u2018Homekit\u2019 software platform, Glassberg explained that it is a major development answering the concept of \u2018Internet of Things\u2019 in the world of technology. Internet of Things refers to a scenario where objects used by people at home, that can be assigned an IP address, are connected in a manner to transfer data over a network. Homekit software does that function by tying in various things at home such as lights, security cameras, doors, locks, thermostats, switches, plugs, washing machines, sensors in the car and anything else that can possibly by brought together. For example this software can turn on the lights when the door is opened.<\/p>\n
Healthkit<\/b><\/p>\n
Glassberg was all praise for the significant push given to Health utility through wearable technology by Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL). With this technology one could monitor and record heartbeats, sugar levels, pulse rates, blood pressures etc. and get all this data stored in mobile devices in a manner that can be made use of as required, like consulting with a doctor.<\/p>\n
However, Security Remains A Concern<\/b><\/p>\n
Glassberg quoted the recent incidence in Australia, where hackers held Apple users to ransom by hacking into the Find My iPhone application of Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL). The hackers locked the devices and demanded a ransom of $50 to $100.
