The details of the matter are as follow-<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Details of the matter:<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has decided to subpoena BSX, it is the second time in last one year when the company has been treated like this. Earlier it was agreed to pay as much as $30 million to settle the issue concerning defective heart devices. The spokesperson of Boston Scientific Corporation (NYSE:BSX)<b> <\/b>said in a press conference held recently that the subpoena wanted to know the details about Cognis and Teligen lines of devices launched by the company recently. Please note that cognis and teligen are used to treat arrhythmias.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The cognis device of Boston Scientific Corporation (NYSE:BSX)<b> <\/b>is known in all over the world for the treatment for ventricular tachycardia, heart failure and ventricular fibrillation. The company has taken various strategic moves to take the same business line on the next level. Teligen lines of devices of the company are given place among the thinnest and smallest high-energy defibrillators of the world. They are not only cost savvy, but also one of the most efficient and effective devices of the world. They are used to detect ventricular fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia and then offer ventricular and atrial pacing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Recently few organizations started pointing fingers at these devices and the one who led the army was U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. It asked several questions about the launch of the device in the year 2008, and performance on various scales starting from year 2007 to year 2009. When asked about this matter from the senior vice president of corporate affairs department BSX Denise Kaigler, he said,&#8221; We have received subpoena, and we are trying our best to support the authorities.
