The Comcast foundation was established to deliver charitable help to its local communities as well as to enrich and empower their lives. It was founded in June 1999 by Comcast Corporation (NASDAQ:CMCSA).<\/b> The foundation invests in the programs that are meant to have a sustainable and positive impact on its communities.<\/p>\n
Students’ academic achievements:<\/b><\/p>\n
The Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Program is one of the foundation’s marked scholarship programs. It identifies the students’ academic achievements, dedication to community services as well as leadership abilities.<\/p>\n
The governor of New Hampshire says:<\/b><\/p>\n
The governor of New Hampshire, Maggie Hassan stated that the foundation’s signature program has a rich and strong history of making higher education more affordable and accessible to the young people. It is an important step that is crucial to facilitate the student’s develop the innovative thinking and the skills required to succeed in the 21st century, added Hassan.<\/p>\n
The Governor even thanked the foundation, on behalf of the New Hampshire people for investing in young talented people as well as appreciate the 32 High School seniors of Granite State, honored with 2014 Leaders and Achievers Scholarship. Hassan also said that New Hampshire is looking forward to a bright future because of the students’ dedication and talent.<\/p>\n
