PAFCA represents United subsidiary\u2019s dispatchers in the agreement, and TWU represents dispatchers at United Continental Holdings\u2019 other major subsidiary Continental Airlines, Inc. The National Mediation Board assisted the trio- United, TWU and PAFCA in reaching this agreement.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Joint Agreement With AFA<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">United also reached an agreement with the Association of Flight Attendants (AFA) to initiate a mutual process of assisted problem solving to further its endeavor to come to a\u00a0 collaborative contract for flight attendants. It has employed similar procedures to reach joint agreements with many work groups. The AFA\u2019s commitment has played a major role in encouraging the airlines to pursue this jointly working path. The involved parties have bid the NMB to assist them in facilitating discussions and are due to meet representatives from the NMB next week as also next month, when the next session for bargaining is due to be held.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">United also seeks to re-enter negotiations with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, which represent its technicians.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Charles Taylor Master Mechanic Award<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">United Continental Holdings Inc (NYSE:UAL)\u00a0also acknowledged the contributions and dedication of its senior mechanics on\u00a0National Aircraft Maintenance Technician Day, which is observed on May 24. The honored mechanics have won the Charles Taylor Master Mechanic Award and the airline seeks to install a statue of Charles Taylor at its Chicago O\u2019Hare hub to celebrate them.
