Boston, MA 05\/21\/2014 (wallstreetpr) \u2013 <\/b>On Tuesday, Cadence Design Systems Inc (NASDAQ:CDNS)<\/b>, which develops electronic design automation (EDA), hardware, software and silicon intellectual property (IP) announced that it has entered into its first EDA Technology Access deal with ARM Holding (NASDAQ:ARMH). Under the agreement, Cadence will be allowed to access the ARM’s Cortex-A50 processor series, which is built on ARM64 bit architecture.<\/p>\n
World-Class Technology<\/b><\/p>\n
In addition to this, the agreement will also give Cadence access to ARM’s 32-bit processor technology, Graphic processor units (GPU), ARM Artisan libraries and System IP. The technological integration of the two company will further help both Cadence Design Systems Inc (NASDAQ:CDNS) and ARM to bring high performance driven world-class technology applications that are energy efficient to mobile, storage, networking, automotive and other end market products.<\/p>\n
Commenting on the development, ARM’s executive vice president and president of its product groups, Pete Hutton said that the company is committed to give power in the hands of its designers,developers and engineers to create innovations around ARM technology; while making way for a fast and consistent route to market. He added that the agreement will lead to enhanced tools, IP physical libraries which will help to fast-track the disposition of ARM’s most superior technologies. Hutton believes that this will be a huge lift to mobile devices developers and servers and to the rapidly growing market for the Internet of Things.<\/p>\n
