The tablet has been designed with a view of replacing laptops according to the company\u2019s Vice President.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Surface Pro Specifications<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The new surface tablet comes with a 12 inch screen compared to the previous version 10.6 inch and will run on Intel Corp processor. The device according to the company was designed with the view of making consumers productive while also remaining consume media. Surface has not had a smooth ride in the market\u00a0 seen by the fact that the company was forced to write down inventory of up to $900 million as a result of poor sales a year ago.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Surface looks to have picked up in the market in the last quarter with sales consequently improving by 50% to $500 million. Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)\u2019s new CEO Satya Nadella looks to have stuck to his guns on transforming the company into a giant in the mobile and cloud segments. Latest developments under his leadership involve the rolling out of Office software for iPad\u2019s, as well as the latest update of Windows Phone Mobile Software.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Fewer consumer purchases continue to be the biggest challenge in the growth of the tablet market seen by Apple reporting a 16% drop in iPad sales in the recent quarter.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>China Bans Windows 8 on Government Computers<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">China is at it again as it continues to fight of multinationals operating in its territory. Now it is being announced that the government has banned the use of Windows 8 software on Government computers. This is despite Microsoft reiterating it always tries its level best to meet government procurement requirements with its diverse range of products.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sources have been quoted as saying that the Chinese government is trying to avoid scenarios where it gets stuck in outdated systems that may make its operations vulnerable to hackers.
