(USA) (NYSE:SLW)<\/strong> has named the nominees listed in management proxy circular as its directors. Also amendments to the special matters related to the company were approved in the meeting with a high percentage of votes cast ranging from 89.0% to 99.6% in favor of the amendments.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>First Quarter Results for 2014<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The company reported increased production and increased sales in the first quarter ending March 2014. An 8% increase in production and 17% increase in sale volume were observed. However the earnings look bleak. Net earnings were $79.8 million compared to $133.4 million in first quarter of the year 2013. This translates to net earnings of $0.22 per share in first quarter of 2014 compared to $0.38 per share of first quarter of the year 2013.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Target Share Price should be Improved<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Various market analysts have given their verdict on buy or hold for Wheaton. The RBC Capital decreased the Wheaton share price from $36.00 to $35.00. Analysts at Salman Partners however are optimistic about the stock and keep the figure at $36.00 for now. Investments analysts have either a strong hold or strong buy ratings to Wheaton and thus keeping the average consensus target price at $31.02 per share as buy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Need to Solve the Partnership Problems<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Due to decline in metal prices, the Canada\u2019s Silver Wheaton Corp saw 47% drop in fourth quarterly profit of the year 2013. The company also was affected by decision of <b>Barrick Gold Corporation (USA) (NYSE:ABX)<\/b> to suspend its operations in Pascua Lama Mine in South America.\u00a0 Wheaton has bought 25% of the mine\u2019s silver production. Another factor affecting the Wheaton\u2019s stock is the fall in silver price by 33% to $21.03 per silver equivalent of ounce. Silver Wheaton Corp.
