Expedia, being the world\u2019s largest online travel portal will now offer fasjet\u2019s complete range of fares and inventory to millions of travellers annually in the sector that fastjet has operations in.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Already an established brand in the online travel business, Expedia\u2019s discount travel site subsidiary, Hotwire, and Egencia, which caters to the needs of business travellers in more than 60 countries will promote the services of fastjet extensively.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Substantial Mutual Benefits<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mr. George Schulz, senior vice president at Global Tour and Transport of the Expedia Group, stated that this joint venture will enable Expedia to promote the services of fastjet in the African continent, which has become quite a favourite with travellers these days.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On the other hand, Mr. Ellis Cain Jones, of fastjet was equally upbeat about this new partnership. With the global reach of Expedia, fastjet would benefit hugely, and this was a giant step in the right direction. To start with, the internet would be used to book fastjet flights within Africa, followed by reaching out to other international sectors, as well.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The international markets can be tapped on account of Expedia Inc (NASDAQ:EXPE)\u2019s global presence. The exposure to worldwide markets would benefit fastject immensely as their revenues would increase along with their profits. Expedia, on the other hand, will gain from every new international route that will be serviced by fastjet in more ways than one. Not only will Expedia\u00a0 benefit from the extended operations, they can also promote their other well known travel services, which include hotel reservations and their vast tie ups with suitable transport providers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Background<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">fastjet started its operations in Tanzania as a low cost airline in 2012. On account of its service reliability, it has emerged as one of the better airlines operating in the African continent. The company has future plans of being the leader in low cost flying within Africa.
