The startup\u2019s founder and chairman, Anton Gauffin, said that Facebook is not popular among developers as a tool. He said that the company is not looked upon as a help provider for developers. Gaufiin mentioned that his team uses <strong>Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)<\/strong>\u2019s software to develop its games.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Luring Developers<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB)\u00a0is now striving to change its image, as was evident as the company organized an event for app developers at the F8 developer conference, which was held in San Francisco this week. This was the first such event by the company since 2011. Facebook had earlier been the major attraction for software makers including <strong>Zynga Inc (NASDAQ:ZNGA)<\/strong>, who preferred to launch their games on the website. However, a recent change in trend marks that programmers have shifted preference to mobiles and smartphones.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At the event, Facebook\u2019s Chief Executive Officer, Mark Zuckerberg, announced a message to developers which claimed that the social networking platform could offer them software suitable for developing apps for smartphones easily. He also offered them tools that would assist them in selling thweir software to Facebook\u2019s 1.28 billion users.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>New Strategy<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Facebook\u2019s underlying strategy is to establish itself more profoundly in the mobile market which is chiefly ruled by Apple and <strong>Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG)<\/strong>.
