Therefore, <strong>Apache Corporation (NYSE:APA)<\/strong>\u00a0, a $33 billion Texas based oil and Gas Company, is now seeking advice for the underlying threats and continue its business. The oil producer currently associated with a well known social responsible investment forms called Boston Common Asset Management.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Potential threats<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Energy companies are witnessing challenge from environmental activists over polluting the environment on regular disposal of their waste and gas leaks from their pipelines that make the difficult for the people living near to gas projects. The increasing concerns over such issues compel companies to appear more responsive towards their operation and reduce their waste.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Advantage over others<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Environmentalists believe that Apache Corporation (NYSE:APA) has an appropriate model and has not received any environmental issues compared to its leading competitors. Even, the Company has not come across with any shareholder proxy proposals related to climate change since 2006, according to Proxymonitor.org.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Steven Farris, CEO of Apache said that the relationship with Steven Heim\u2019s Boston Common will help to provide more transparency over Apache Corporation (NYSE:APA)\u2019s operation while connecting the Company with shareholders. Boston Common\u2019s approach to influence investors has limited as the investment firm only holds 75,000 shares of Apache, but, such engagement will provide resolution on shareholders\u2019 concern.
