Its recent release of fourth quarter profits proves the point as how the company has been able to move beyond its loss making years and establish itself as a profit-making firm.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Better-Than-Expected Earnings, Optimistic Outlook<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This month, Rite Aid Corporation (NYSE:RAD) furnished its fourth quarterly performance where its adjusted earnings came to the tune of $0.10 per share, which implies a 43% growth year-over-year and beating the analyst estimate of $0.04 by a wide margin. At the same time, its revenue too grew 2.2% year-over-year to $6,597.5 million that exceeded the consensus estimate of $6,551 million. The big improvement in bottom-line results was on account of robust revenues and the company&#8217;s successful turnaround strategy. Additionally, its top line growth was steered by a 21% increase in comparable-store sales (comps), which was helped by pharmacy sales but marginally counterbalanced by softer front-end sales.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Equally Better Guidance<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Apart from the solid performance, the fact that especially appealed investors were the company&#8217;s equal or rather superior projection for the fiscal 2015. As per the latest update, the company anticipates its sales to be in the range of $26-$26.5 billion in fiscal 2015, wherein it estimates comps growth in between 2.5%-4.5%. Furthermore, Rite Aid expects the adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization for the year 2015 to come in the band of $1.325-$1.40 billion. Rite Aid Corporation (NYSE:RAD), which is third in position behind rivals <b>Walgreen <\/b><b>Company<\/b><b> (<\/b><b>NYSE<\/b><b>:WAG) <\/b>and<b> CVS Caremark Corp. (<\/b><b>NYSE<\/b><b>:CVS)<\/b> in terms of size, forecasts net income for the financial year 2015 to come in the range of $313-$423 million, that is, $0.31-$0.42 per share.
