(NASDAQ:YHOO)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Boston, MA 04\/11\/2014 (wallstreetpr) \u2013\u00a0The recent deal between <b>Yelp Inc (NYSE:YELP)<\/b> and search engine giant Yahoo Inc, which provides business listings for searches made on the latter\u2019s site, has been earning negative reviews. These negative reviews are generally coming from owners of minor businesses. They suppose that years of positive feedback from customers have vanished from Yahoo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Affected businesses speak out<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Don Tringale, owner of Colonial Hardwood Flooring in Lexington Mass., had mostly garnered positive reviews in <b>Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ:YHOO)\u2019s <\/b>local listing. Nevertheless, several weeks ago and barely after the deal with Yelp, around 50 good reviews have disappeared.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">These days\u2019 potential customers looking through the site won\u2019t see a brace of good reviews, Don very clearly remembers, even mentioning the people who sent them. They appear to have given way to Yelp Inc (NYSE:YELP)\u2019s punctuation challenged inferior reviews.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Triangle, who refinishes floors in commercial and residential buildings, says these reviews will affect his business as almost 30% of his customers arrive from online searches. He experiences that some clients will turn aside to other contenders in the commercial enterprise. He too notes that Yahoo actually took away 5-6 years of hard work, overnight.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Beverly Ulbrich, a San Francisco dog trainer had about 20 positive reviews in the local listings. At present, a mistake message is generated when anyone tries to access, those links of pages that contained the reviews.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Yahoo\u2019s take on the subject<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ:YHOO) has refused to remark on such specific commercial enterprises. They state that Yelp is one of the most trusted sources of consumer business reviews, and it was going to provide a better search experience to Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ:YHOO) users. They also alleged that when Yelp\u2019s reviews are available for certain jobs, they would finally supersede the ones in the local listings.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A study conducted by search engine optimization consultant BrightLocal last year, reveals that about 95% of the customers use search engines to find local businesses. Likewise, about 85% read reviews posted on these websites. In this sphere, Yahoo accounts for 10.3% of all such lookups.
