Boston, MA 04\/10\/2014 (wallstreetpr) –\u00a0Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)<\/b> is making refund to owners of iPhone or iPad whose children purchased apps without their consent. Those interested in claiming a refund have until April 15, to do so. The procedure involves retrieving receipt for the unauthorized app purchase and then placing a refund request.<\/p>\n
The company recently reached a $32.5 million settlement with the Federal Trade Commission. The settlement calls for a refund over children generated app purchases. Although Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has since fixed the problem, in the past children could easily make purchases on the phones of their parents without being prompted for a password. As a result, complaints were registered against the company, with some cases involving more than $2,600 unauthorized spending on games and apps.<\/p>\n
Last year Apple Inc made refunds under similar circumstances. Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG)<\/b> could also find itself made to make refunds over children purchases from its app store Google Play. Google is currently facing a lawsuit related to app purchases by children.<\/p>\n

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is rumored to be readying two iPhones for release later this year. The company is reportedly planning to bring to the market large screen phones. The new iPhone 6 series smartphones are expected to feature a 4.7-inch display and a 5.5-inch display. The new iPhone devices are expected to go on sale around the fourth quarter, with the 4.7-inch display device being the first one to hit the stores.<\/p>\n
Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) operate in a market where it is facing increasing competition from cheap and larger screen devices. It seems therefore the company is ready to rattle rivals in their own game. However, that will be uncharacteristic of Apple Inc that seemingly avoided rush to produce large screen iPhones.<\/p>\n
