The results highlight the failure of the once leaders in computer market to make their mark in mobile phone market. Clearly, Microsoft has failed to convince handset manufacturers to employ their OS.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>CEO\u2019s strategy<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)\u2019s new Chief Executive Officer, Satya Nadella, is now taking rapid steps towards establishing the company in mobile markets now. He is aiming at working on smartphone software and is boosting development of low cost phones which will primarily be targeting emerging markets. The software giant is now proposing to build its market share for the Windows operating system from the very beginning. Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) is partnering with hardware manufacturers to fulfill its pursuit. Advancement in the direction has already been made as it decides to work with Qualcomm to build low cost, Internet ready mobile phones. The phones will be aimed at alluring customers mainly from the less developed countries.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Together with Qualcomm Inc (NASDAQ:QCOM), Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) will create the basic core of the phone that means the duo will work on developing the processors and wireless chips that will be incorporated in the phones.
