Active Health Foods (OTC: AHFD) staged a huge rally today, following the announcement of GNC\u2019s first order of Active X\u2122 <\/em>from the company. Active Health Foods rebounded by 48.7%, and closed today\u2019s trading session at a share price of $0.0055. The stock rose quickly after the market opened and posted an intraday high of $0.006 before 11:00 a.m. After a day\u2019s whipsaws, the stock eventually closed at $0.0055. Volume of the stock surged to a total of 42.45 million shares, compared to its daily average of 2.58 million shares.<\/p>\n

Active Health Foods\u2019 significant rebound may be directly linked to the company\u2019s announcement today. Today, July 27, 2012, Active Health Foods, the maker of\u00a0Active X\u2122\u00a0<\/em>Energy Bars, announced that General Nutrition Centers, commonly known as GNC, has placed its first order<\/a> for\u00a0Active X\u2122<\/em>\u00a0Energy Bars. This order was for 25,000\u00a0Active\u00a0X\u2122<\/em>\u00a0Energy Bars, and has been shipped by Active Health Foods this month to GNC’s distribution centers in Arizona, South Carolina and Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n

In the same press release, Active Health Foods also announced that it was featured in the Press Enterprise, a newspaper of the greater Inland Empire on Sunday June 24, 2012.<\/p>\n

This has not been the finest year for Active Health Foods. The stock has a loss that still totals 97.8%, despite its huge rebound today. Active Health Foods tanked significantly from the point of its stock split in December 2011. Active Health Foods continued to collapse in January 2012, and has been steadily declining until today.<\/p>\n
