The company stated Monday that Andrew Bocking had stepped down and would depart the company. Yet the team at BBM will remain intact, only that they will now report to the recently hired John Slim. BBM is a popular mobile app and one of the remaining popular software by the struggling Canadian phone maker. The app has more than 80 million users and the recently BBRY extended its application for use in other platforms such as iOS and Android from Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) and Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) respectively. The latest development in BBRY where an executive who served under the ousted CEO Thorsten Heins has opted out, suggests that restructuring in the company is ongoing. BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) is now in the hands of John Chen as CEO and he has promised investors speedy turnaround, if possible by 2015.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>CVS Caremark Corporation (NYSE:CVS)<\/b>\u2019s latest earnings revealed a modest slip. This was mainly due to the fact that the stronger sales noted in pharmacy sales could not offset the fallout in non-pharmacy sales in the fourth quarter. Nonetheless, shares of CVS advanced almost 3 percent during Tuesday session. The company reported earning net income of $1.27 billion or $1.05 per diluted share. That was up about 12.5 percent from the $1.13 billion realized in the same quarter a year ago. During that quarter earning per diluted share was 90 cents. Revenue in the latest quarter jumped 3.1 percent to $65.6 billion. In the same quarter the previous year revenue was $63.6 billion. CVS recently announced that it would quit sale of tobacco products as of October this year. In so doing, the store will establish itself as formidable force in healthcare industry. That move by CVS Caremark Corporation (NYSE:CVS) to abandon tobacco is already generating heat for other retailers from lawmakers to do the same.<br \/>\n<b>GT Advanced Technologies Inc (NASDAQ:GTAT)<\/b> lacked funfair on the browsers on Tuesday even as speculations got widespread that the company was working with iPhone maker Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) to develop sapphire display screens. Using sapphire in its next generation of phones would make iPhones the most scratch-resistant devices on the planet.
