Boston, MA 02\/10\/2014 (wallstreetpr) –\u00a0LinkedIn Corp (NYSE:LNKD)<\/b>, the career networking site with a difference, has announced some changes to the iPhone Inbox\u00a0 features and services it offers. The new changes will take away some of the well-defined and useful features as the Intro-feature.<\/p>\n
Why?<\/b><\/p>\n
LinkedIn Corp (NYSE:LNKD)<\/b> making these feature changes only to the iPhone-integrated Contact-list search and introduction features. However, the inbox features for Gmail will continue to be offered and users will be able to used Rapportive to link with LinkedIn.<\/p>\n
Though there is no reference to why this service is being withdrawn or confirmation if Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL)<\/b>, imposed the withdrawal, one thing is clear, Linkedln features will lose an intuitive feature which users found a great help.\u00a0 The service which was begun last year was indication of innovative networking technology. LinkedIn had with great innovation integrated Apple\u2019s iOS Mail app, which is available on the iPhone with LinkedIn Contacts.<\/p>\n
The service, notified users of their connects with LinkedIn member sending the mail, every time a message was delivered.<\/p>\n
Perhaps the highlight of this service was the fact, surprisingly, that it was never a official integrated deal with Apple Inc. The whole integrated series was offered through some LinkedIn in-house, besides remaining clear of any patent- or use-rules, held by Apple Inc. In fat, the service was extended for OS X 10.9 as well.<\/p>\n
This service is to be withdrawn as of March 7, 2014.<\/p>\n
Users, however, await the reintroduction of the service, as they have always found it a value-added service on a professional-network spanning multiple organizations and global locations. Here is hoping both technology parties view the need for this feature and work together to offer the service in the newer iOS 8 versions! LinkedIn as a professional network is bereft of the value addition the introduction brought to all its connected members.<\/p>\n
