Users will be able to view groundbreaking performance footage by The Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show, though this offering will be for a limited time.<\/p>\n<p>Interestingly, users will also get download links to The Beatles\u2019 U.S. releases, available for the first time digitally on iTunes. This new development reveals an expanded lineup for <b>Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL)<\/b>\u2019s TV set-top box. This is also a special, if not rare, recordings offering of a legendary rock group.<\/p>\n<h1>A bit of the Beatles and Apple brand name<\/h1>\n<p>Music collections from The Beatle originally launched on iTunes in November 2010, ending a lengthy wait, speculations and prolonged negotiations. The negotiations were particularly prolonged by battle for the Apple brand contest where <b>Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) <\/b>and Apple Records, The Beatles\u2019 recording company, all claimed entitlement to the Apple brand name. But all that was ironed out and now The Beatles are on iTunes.<\/p>\n<p>Following the successful debut on iTunes, the legendary music group went on to sell about 2 million songs and 450,000 albums on iTunes Store in the first week \u2013 an incredible success by most measures. And in a span of two months, 5 million songs and 4 million albums had been sold through <b>Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL)<\/b>\u2019s music store.<\/p>\n<p>A lot has been achieved by both Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) and The Beatles since things started moving. Besides the incredible music and album sales, in February 2012, exclusive ringtones by The Beatles were available on iTunes. What\u2019s a more, rare and unheard recording by the group was also made available in 59 compilations last December.<\/p>\n<p><b>Settlement that opened up opportunities<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL)<\/b> and Apple Records reached agreement in 2007, and while The Beatles\u2019 catalog was still not available on iTunes till late 2010, it is fair to say the debut of The Beatle on iTunes was greeted with almost immediate success. In fact, at some point The Beatle\u2019s music made up nearly a quarter of the top 200 songs on iTunes.
