Telecoms operators like the aforementioned and many others around the world have always relied on WiFi to relieve data congestion on their cellular networks, thus enabling the offering of strong voice signals. But a game-changer technology has come that would make it possible to over voice calls over WiFi, just as well as data has been done.<\/p>\n
Taqua, an IP communications vendor has announced and launched a technology that allows voice calls over WiFi through virtual mobile core. And this technology delivers all a user needs; cellular voice calls and messaging services through a mobile device.<\/p>\n
New battle frontier<\/b><\/p>\n
The leading four U.S. carriers with Verizon Communications (NYSE:VZ) and AT&T Inc (NYSE:T)<\/b> at the top, have of late been trying to cannibalize one another with cutthroat price competitions. The companies are running competitive programs and to promote their voice, text and data services. Sometimes they make cite their superior wireless networks or just the ability to allow five or four family members connect over voice or data at the price of one.<\/p>\n
Well then, voice over WiFi, or call it VoWiFi would just be the next big battle fronting if the carries decides to pick and run with it in their efforts to win over subscribers at the expense of rivals.<\/p>\n

The so-called VoWiFi technology announced by Taqua not only allows operators to take their voice and text offering too far, or better yet offer the same through data infrastructure (WiFi) without compromising on the quality of the other, it also allow operators to track users, apply policy and bill clients as data, rather than counting the minutes consumed by the user.
