Boston, MA 02\/06\/2014 (wallstreetpr) –\u00a0Steve Wozniak, the co-founder of Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)<\/b> when answering questions at the Apps World conference at San Francisco appeared to speak his mind, when he suggested that Apple may consider making an iPhone on the open source Android platform.<\/p>\n
His plain speak did catch many by surprise.<\/p>\n
Wozniak, who chose to remain silent on current Steve Cook\u2019s style of operations at the institution he along with the legendary Steve Jobs founded, admitted to toying with Android OS as an afterthought to a previous question.<\/p>\n
Blackberry\u2019s too far gone<\/b><\/p>\n
Apple Inc.\u2019s (NASDAQ:AAPL)<\/b> co-founder admitted that the turn of events at the one-time market leader BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY)<\/b> was sad. According to him, the opportunity to turn around the company was too far gone as the makers of this once-famous phone service failed to move with the times.<\/p>\n
BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) should have moved to the Android platform, when the challenges became overwhelming he said.<\/p>\n
Going further with the idea, he shared that there may soon come a day, when Apple Inc, itself may consider making an iPhone but on the Android platform, just so as to ensure they were a player in the secondary phone market.<\/p>\n
Indeed, this is a far cry from the times of Steve Jobs, who considered Android OS as anathema to the technology world. Wozniak admitted that to Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)<\/b>, Android OS was the \u2018anti-iPhone\u2019 alternative.<\/p>\n
In his various answers to queries at the products Apple Inc built over the years, he reiterated that every product had long and articulate development cycles. The great new product that the company launched was indeed New Categories and that, \u2018it is not very often that this happens.\u2019<\/p>\n
Microsoft has not innovated<\/b><\/p>\n
And typical of Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)<\/b>\u2019s parleys with Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)<\/b>, Wozniak commented that the enterprise-giant had failed to innovate and grow its products. The lack of new products or innovation from Microsoft never happened. Whereas, Apple Inc delivered on this aspect with their products \u2013 iPad and the iPhone, he commented.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Wozniak also took the government\u2019s National Security Agency to task, commenting the privacy violation on their part was uncalled for and would soon lead US to become a police state.<\/p>\n
