Credit Suisse has trimmed its price target for ABX to $19, suggesting a $1 exit from the previous target. Most everyone knows that gold stocks are facing sort of a baptism of fire as the price and demand for the yellow metal decline. Yet, ABX has been able to hang in there with its stock managing more than 25 percent increase from their lows in early December. The stock has now perched around $19.23 per share. However, looking at year-over-year performance of the stock, one notices a deficit of more than 41 percent. Interestingly, despite the seemingly lackluster price action seen in ABX, the stock is far from being short sellers play. Short interest in the stock currently accounts for just about 1.5 percent of the available equity float.
