The automaker saw its pretax profit hit the $8.6 billion mark an increase of $600 million compared to F2012. Despite all this positive news the automaker projects a step back in earnings in 2014 that will see its pretax profit remain in the $7-$8 billion mark. The expected slight decline is primarily due to the fact the company is paying more attention on ventures that will rejuvenate its profits as from 2015.
