Shannon Elizabeth isn\u2019t looking for another slice of romance anytime soon.<\/p>\n

The “American Pie” star, whose divorce<\/a> was finalized in May, has sworn off dating, insisting that OnlyFans is “the only relationship I need.”<\/p>\n

During an appearance on Bill Maher’s “Club Random”<\/a> podcast, he asked her, “What\u2019s the dating scene like in Cape Town?” Elizabeth moved to South Africa in 2016 to focus on wildlife conservation.<\/p>\n

“I’m very newly single, and I don\u2019t plan on ever dating again<\/a>, to be honest,” Elizabeth replied.<\/p>\n

“Come on, you\u2019re going to date,” Maher insisted.<\/p>\n

“No, no,” Elizabeth said.<\/p>\n

“No, not even dating?” Maher said.<\/p>\n

“I do not want to date,” Elizabeth said. “I\u2019m not interested. There\u2019s too many con artists out there. There\u2019s too many people I don\u2019t trust. I have no interest.”<\/p>\n

“… The only relationships I need are the relationships on OnlyFans<\/a> that I\u2019m building with all of these people,” Elizabeth said.<\/p>\n

Maher was adamant that Elizabeth\u2019s ban on dating wouldn\u2019t stick.<\/p>\n

“Well, I\u2019m not saying I know you better than you, because I don\u2019t,” he said. “You know you better than you. I will say this: I have heard that from many people right after. …”<\/p>\n

“I mean, including many celebrities,” he said.<\/p>\n

Maher pointed to Halle Berry as an example, noting that the actress had once said she would never marry again. Berry later married actor Olivier Martinez in 2013, and the couple filed for divorce in 2015.<\/p>\n

Elizabeth wasn’t swayed.<\/p>\n

“… At the moment, I\u2019m perfectly fine not being with anyone and not wanting anything,” she said.<\/p>\n

OnlyFans allows creators to charge fans directly for their content, and Elizabeth found immediate financial success on the subscription platform. Variety reported that she earned more than $1.2 million in her first week after launching her account in April.<\/p>\n

For Elizabeth, however, OnlyFans has become more than another source of income. She told Variety<\/a> the platform provided a financial lifeline as she went through her divorce from Simon Borchert. Acting roles weren’t coming in as frequently as they once did, she said, and she had largely been living off her savings.<\/p>\n

“For the last ten years, I\u2019ve been living off of my savings for the most part, because I haven\u2019t been as focused on work,” she said. “To be able to get myself back to the point where I\u2019m not struggling and am able to choose projects because I like them and not because I need the money \u2014 it\u2019s definitely giving me more freedom to do that.”<\/p>\n

Elizabeth also wants to direct and “be behind the camera.” In the meantime, she\u2019s directing and producing her OnlyFans content, which does not currently include nudity.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019ve got to be a little bit mysterious,” she said. “I do all kinds of content, but I don\u2019t even know what my boundaries will be. I\u2019m still exploring it, and as I become more comfortable with it, I\u2019m going to push those boundaries.”<\/p>\n

A portion of Elizabeth\u2019s OnlyFans earnings goes to her wildlife conservation nonprofit.<\/p>\n

Elizabeth previously told Fox News Digital that she isn’t worried about criticism of her latest venture.<\/p>\n

“I know people do make assumptions about creators on the platform,” she said. “But I don\u2019t go looking for it. And people have been nothing but really supportive and kind to me. … I\u2019m really happy doing it. I\u2019m really having so much fun. I\u2019m connecting with people. And I think no matter what you do in any industry, there\u2019s always going to be people who don\u2019t support you, who want to bring you down or who criticize you.”<\/p>\n

One piece of advice Elizabeth would give to another actress considering OnlyFans is simple: Just do it.<\/p>\n

“Absolutely do it,” she gushed. “It\u2019s been an incredible experience. And if you don\u2019t like it, you just stop. That\u2019s the beauty of it. The control\u2019s in your hands. So if you want to do it for one month, do it for a month. See if you like it. In fact, I have already started talking to some friends about getting on the platform with me, and a lot of people are starting to consider it.”<\/p>\n

“[This is] something that we wanted to do 25 years ago, but the technology wasn\u2019t there yet,” she said. “Now the technology is there. I just wish I\u2019d done it sooner.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
