Interim WWE women\u2019s champion Chelsea Green appeared to remain hopeful about her injury status as she showed the extent of her broken orbital bone<\/a> on social media on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Green suffered the injury during a tag team match against women\u2019s tag team champions Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid.<\/p>\n

“Fingers crossed for a quick comeback,” she wrote in a post on her Instagram Stories.<\/p>\n

Green was seen with a bruise under her eye.<\/p>\n

She announced over the weekend that she suffered a broken orbital bone just days after becoming the interim WWE women\u2019s champion in a ladder match at SummerSlam<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“I did get injured last night. Stuff happens. It\u2019s live television. It\u2019s wrestling. It\u2019s an occupational hazard,” Green said in a video posted to her Instagram. “I ended up in the emergency room and I have a broken orbital bone. It looks amazing all things considered. It feels awful but looks pretty amazing.”<\/p>\n

“I have no idea what that means for me. Usually, you guys have seen me play into every single injury but this feels different, obviously. This feels very different. It feels frustrating. I\u2019m upset. I feel like if I didn\u2019t have bad luck, I\u2019d have no luck at all. So, I just need to take a bit more time to process and to heal from, obviously, the head trauma that is going on right now and then we\u2019ll see what happens. We\u2019re just gonna take it day by day. So, world domination continues. We\u2019ve just had a minor blip.”<\/p>\n

It\u2019s unclear where the title picture will go from here.<\/p>\n

Rhea Ripley, who was the WWE women\u2019s champion, announced earlier this month that she underwent knee surgery<\/a> and will be out for some time. The Interim WWE Women\u2019s Championship was created in lieu of Ripley\u2019s injury, but Green\u2019s bad luck appeared to throw the scene in flux.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
