Kellan Lutz said this week that he left California<\/a> three years ago for Tennessee after the pandemic.<\/p>\n

“I love California, I really do,” he explained on “Inside of You<\/a>” with Michael Rosenbaum. “The whole Tennessee move happened when we had our second kid.”<\/p>\n

The “Twilight” actor said they moved from Orange County \u2013 and his wife, Brittany Lutz, hopes to eventually move back there or at least to be “bi-ish coastal.”<\/p>\n

Lutz\u2019s wife was born and raised in Orange County. “Her family is awesome. But post-COVID, a lot of people flew, like fled California<\/a>. A lot of people lost jobs and wanted to move somewhere a little bit more peace given.”<\/p>\n

His wife\u2019s family chose to leave California, and he said they followed them to Tennessee, mainly because otherwise she wouldn\u2019t have had a support system<\/a> when he goes on location for work, and she\u2019s left at home with the children.<\/p>\n

“And one of the kids got sick. She felt really out of control as far as not being able to bring both kids there or just kind of helpless. So, she’s like, \u2018Can we move?\u2019 I’m like, \u2018Yeah, of course,” he explained.<\/p>\n

He added that other men with kids in his life told him that new moms usually wanted to move to where their mom lives “just to help with the kids<\/a>.”<\/p>\n

“Then when they decided to move<\/a>, I was like, “OK, well, we’re going to do it. We’re going to give it a couple years and we have, and it’s great. There’s a lot of great things about Tennessee, especially Franklin where we live.”<\/p>\n

The family moved to Tennessee three years ago, but he acknowledged he doesn\u2019t know how long they\u2019ll stay.<\/p>\n

“We got some land, got great Bible studies<\/a> that we’re a part of, great churches, great community,” he said. “There’s a lot of actors. I’ve gone to probably more movie premieres in Franklin, Tennessee, than I have in L.A., you know, the last couple years since I lived there.”<\/p>\n

Admittedly though, there are adjustments.<\/p>\n

“Like we aren’t seasons people,” he said. “There’s tornadoes. My wife goes on red alert, especially when you have kids. And we do miss good sushi and good Mexican food.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
