A North Carolina<\/a> woman who went missing while on a girls’ trip to the Caribbean may have drowned, her husband says.<\/p>\n

Elizabeth “Liz” Waddell, 43,\u00a0went missing<\/a>\u00a0from Grenada on July 22 and new details shared by her husband suggest she was last seen in the water \u2013 by a group of jet skiers.<\/p>\n

In an update posted to FindLiz.com<\/a>, Liz\u2019s husband, Cailen Waddell, said the jet skiers tried for several minutes to convince her to get on a jet ski rather than remain in the ocean<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He writes, “They spoke with her for five or ten minutes trying to convince her to ride in with them on a jet ski and not stay in the ocean<\/a>. Reportedly she said, \u2018I\u2019m a good swimmer,\u2019 and gave them a thumbs up.”<\/p>\n

He has been releasing information on his wife’s case using the website her family created.<\/p>\n

The conversation with the jet skiers allegedly happened around 5:30 p.m. on the Wednesday she was reported missing to the Royal Grenada Police Force.<\/p>\n

“I am grieving her absence and the loss of her in my daily life right now, understanding that it is incredibly likely she is gone and hoping that the investigation<\/a> will offer more clarity as to what happened,” Waddell said.<\/p>\n

Surveillance video from a nearby Airbnb property recorded the possible moment Liz entered the water that day; a person appearing to be Waddell is seen walking near a pool and holding a towel.<\/p>\n
