Hand up. It’s me. I’m the idiot.<\/p>\n

Everything I’ve written about the 2026 Boston Red Sox has been wrong. Completely wrong. It was, and is, fake news.<\/p>\n

Frankly, I don’t know why I’m still allowed to even write about them at this point. But I’m here today, facing the music and extending an olive branch to the hottest team in … baseball history?<\/p>\n

RED SOX COME BACK FROM THE DEAD, MOVE INTO POSTSEASON CONTENTION WITH REMARKABLE 14-GAME WIN STREAK<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

The Red Sox might just be. This team is quite literally unbeatable. They can’t lose. They won’t lose. They refuse to lose.<\/p>\n

Boston won again <\/i>Friday night, dismantling the A’s<\/a>, 13-1, for its ninth straight win<\/a>. The Red Sox are now 27-3 over their last 30 games. They’re 33-7 over their last 40. They haven’t lost a series in June, and are one win away from their second double-digit winning streak in as many months.<\/p>\n

Somehow, the Sox have gone from the worst team in the American League, to leading <\/i>the league in run differential (+89), sitting comfortably in a playoff spot and knocking on the door for the division lead.<\/p>\n

Everyone was wrong. Everyone has egg on their face. And I’m right there at the front of the line.<\/p>\n

Name a record, and the Red Sox have probably broken it this summer. This one is probably my favorite:<\/p>\n

Per Elias, the 2026 Red Sox are the fastest team in MLB history<\/i> to go from 14 games under .500 to 13 games over at 44 days. The previous quickest was 59 days by the 1914 Braves.<\/p>\n

Goodness gracious. Where do I even start?<\/p>\n

Fast-forward three months, and look who was a man of the people earlier this week:<\/p>\n

Amazing.<\/p>\n

Durbin has been one of the best players in all of baseball this summer. A lot of fans credit him for starting this run in June when he played through a dislocated finger and hit a go-ahead home run against the Yankees<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Hard to argue:<\/p>\n

Breslow didn’t whiff on Durbin. I did. I was wrong.<\/p>\n
