FIRST ON FOX:<\/strong> A terrified teen hid in a closet and watched an elderly neighbor gun down her friend and the girl’s mother in Missouri<\/a>, dispatch audio obtained by Fox News Digital reveals.<\/p>\n

Robert Winkelman, 73, walked down the street to his neighbor’s House Springs, Missouri, home on July 25 at around 8:30 p.m. and confronted 38-year-old Jessica Lashly about what was going on at her house, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office<\/a> said.<\/p>\n

When Lashly responded, Winkelman took out a gun and shot her in the head. As Lashly’s 17-year-old daughter, Jersey Greer, rushed to help her mother, Winkelman shot the teen in the head as well, the sheriff’s office said. He then chased a third person while still armed but did not fire, deputies said. Lashly and Greer died days later at a hospital.<\/p>\n

In new 911 dispatch audio obtained by Fox News Digital, a dispatcher can be heard saying that the slain 17-year old<\/span>‘s friend was hiding in a closet.<\/p>\n

“We do have a visual victim hiding in a closet, advising that her friend got shot. We do that law in route, but they are not on scene,” the dispatcher said.<\/p>\n

A dispatcher said two gunshots could be heard in the background of the call, which was placed by someone who reported a woman was struggling to breathe.<\/p>\n

“Received a call, no longer receiving a response from anyone on the phone. We did hear shots in the background,” the dispatcher said. “It sounds like possibly two gunshots went off.”<\/p>\n

“It’s unclear what’s going on at this time,” he added.<\/p>\n

When deputies arrived at Winkelman’s home and moved to confront him a short time later, he turned the gun on himself.<\/p>\n

He died at a hospital Aug. 2<\/span>, according to investigators, who said he would have been charged with two counts of first-degree murder<\/a> and two counts of armed criminal action.<\/p>\n

Reports state that investigators said Winkleman<\/span> initially went to Lashly’s home to complain about noise. A spokesman for the sheriff’s office described the horrifying incident to Fox News Digital as a “dispute between neighbors<\/a>.”<\/p>\n

Justice Greer, the teenage victim’s twin sister, told KSDK<\/a>, “She was literally just the funniest person ever.”<\/p>\n

“She could make anybody laugh. She was really supportive about anything and everything. She could always tell when someone was sad or needed uplifting, and she was always the one to do it.<\/p>\n

“Jersey’s last moments, she was trying to save my mom. It just shows how brave she is, and I hope I can be half as brave as she is,” she said.<\/p>\n

Justice Greer said Lashly was a single mother<\/a> who did all she could to provide for her twin daughters.<\/p>\n

“It was always just us three,” Justice said. “It’s going to be really hard because that’s all I’m used to.”<\/p>\n

Abby Feldmann, who was Justice and Jersey Greer’s coach in lacrosse<\/span>, told KSDK Jersey was someone who could “change your whole perspective on life.”<\/p>\n
